Why Should I have my Child Checked?

Chiropractic adjustments help your body function properly, enhance your immune system and help you feel better. That's why your child should have his or her spine regularly checked by a chiropractor.

Newborns should be checked for spinal misalignment after being born. A baby experiences stress while in utero (inside the womb), during the natural birth process, and even from a cesarean birth.  Chiropractic care has been shown to help infants with colic, infant acid reflux, ear infection, and bowel problems.

Childhood is a critical time to make sure the spine has no misalignments, allowing the nervous system to function at its best. Children are active and can have many falls, bike accidents, or sports injuries during their formative years.  Give them a head start in healthy living and make sure they have a healthy spine with chiropractic care.

Dr. Fish takes care of many newborns and children. She uses light pressure to find your child's spinal misalignment and then delivers a gentle adjustment to that area. She accomplishes this with her own hands.  "I find that children respond very well to having chiropractic adjustments.  They love coming to the office to play and to get adjusted.  They know it will help them feel better and best of all, no shots!".  - Dr. Marci Fish
